Lucy, An Orphan From China, Meets Her Mother For The First Time

Lucy is a six-year-old orphan from China who is shown meeting her parents for the first time in this touching video.

Brent and Audrey Shook always wanted to adopt. They shared how they’ve always had a special place in their hearts for China, and knew that one day, they would find one of their family members there. The Shooks, as they were going through the adoption process, saw a video of Lucy and knew immediately that she was part of their family.

Lucy has down syndrome and has been waiting to meet her family for six years. She was abandoned when she was just four weeks old. The happiness and joy that is shown when mother meets daughter is indescribable. Watch the video and tell us what you think in the comments below.  You might need to grab a tissue box before you press play.

You can find Caroline gallivanting around the European countryside or hoofing it in the mountains. Chocolate in any form instantly wins her friendship, and she is not afraid to geek out over the Lord of the Rings or Star Wars films.
