Starting the adoption journey can be overwhelming and you learn a lot of lessons after the fact. It’s really helpful when adoptive parents who have been through the process can lend their insight to those who are just beginning and skip unnecessary steps or hurdles. Now that my wife and I have gone through two domestic adoptions, we’ve had some time to step back and reflect on both adoption stories.
