This Family Found Joy When They Adopted A Waiting Child

A news station in Tulsa, Oklahoma is celebrating its 40th anniversary of sharing “waiting child” features, segments that introduce children who are waiting to be adopted into their forever families. The program benefits not only the children who are looking for their families, but also the families who are able to bring them into their homes.

In this article, they share the story of Jack and Dorothy Henderson, who in 1981 and raising two young sons, felt that their family wasn’t quite complete. They found their family’s missing piece on a waiting child feature.
