So often I hear people brush off the possibility of adoption – especially foster or international adoption – with a quick, “Those kids have problems.”
Right, those kids have problems. Of COURSE they have problems. They don’t have the stability and love that comes with having a good family. They are hurting. They are unrooted. They are afraid.
But EVERY child needs a family. Kids with medical problems. Kids with behavioral problems. Kids with developmental problems. Kids in big sibling groups. Kids who have outgrown their baby cheeks.
No human being should go through life without the gift and blessing (and sometimes curse) of having a family.
