“And while you will never see a reflection of your own eyes there, you see something that’s just as powerful: A reflection of your complete and unstoppable love for this person who grew in the midst of your tears and laughter, and who, if torn from you, would be like losing yourself.” – Kathy Lynn Harris
Unstoppable love. I love that phrase! It so perfectly describes the love of a parent who pushes through obstacles and challenges to not only bring their child home, but to provide for them the loving environment they need in which to thrive.
Unstoppable love. It means making phone calls. Filling out paperwork. Coordinating with multiple governments. Working with social workers.
Unstoppable love. It means getting up every day, despite discouragement, despite frustration, and trying again.
Unstoppable love. It means putting one foot in front of the other, even when it’s hard. Because you know your child is worth it.
