“Family not only need to consist of merely those whom we share blood, but also for those whom we’d give blood.”
Isn’t this a beautiful quote about family? And I think those who have gone through the adoption process – and perhaps through years of helping children process trauma from their previous lives – will say that they have given a little blood in the name of family.
P.S. I was a little dubious about whether or not Charles Dickens actually said this, but he did! My research shows that it’s a quote from his book Nicholas Nickleby.
