Michael is a 16-year-old from Utah who is passionate about archery. He likes the solitary quiet nature of the sport, which is smooth and predictable, striking a firm contrast to the unstable life he’s experienced, one that’s included 16 moves and seven years in foster care.
Michael hopes to be adopted before he turns 18 and ages out of foster care. “I don’t want to be stuck just floating around in the system,” he says. “I just need a family who is there and actually cares.”
