Meeting Again

After decades apart, mother and son are finally meeting again.

Gary Thiemann was adopted when he was very young and grew up in a loving home. Over the years, he never really wondered about his biological mother, Mary Ann Rut, but he was never far from his mother’s thoughts.

In May of this year, mother and son met at Thiemann’s home in Shreveport, Louisiana.

“We all hugged and cried. Then we started talking and kept talking and talking. All of a sudden it was midnight,” said Karen McCain, Thiemann’s half sister.

Caroline is currently working for Elevati/Adoption.com as an intern--she loves it! She is a poor college student who is studying English and hopes to go on to wear the master's cap someday. You can find Caroline gallivanting around the European countryside or hoofing it in the mountains. Chocolate in any form instantly wins her friendship, and she is not afraid to geek out over the Lord of the Rings or Star Wars films.
