Finally, I’ve Seen You

“Finally, I’ve seen you.”

Those were the words spoken to Kati Pohler by her birth mother when she met her mother and father for the first time 22 years later.

Kati’s parents, unable to keep their child due to China’s one-child policy, abandoned Kati in a Chinese market. As a result, Kati was then adopted by the Pohlers, an American family from Michigan.

Kati’s birth parents requested the following of the Pohlers when Kati was adopted: “Is it possible that in 10 years that you could meet us on this bridge?”

Ken Pohler states about the note, “It was so heartfelt. And we thought, ‘Oh my, these birth parents went through a difficult time.”

Caroline is currently working for Elevati/Adoption.com as an intern--she loves it! She is a poor college student who is studying English and hopes to go on to wear the master's cap someday. You can find Caroline gallivanting around the European countryside or hoofing it in the mountains. Chocolate in any form instantly wins her friendship, and she is not afraid to geek out over the Lord of the Rings or Star Wars films.
