6 Ways to Spread the Word About National Foster Care Month

How can we give back or support the cause of bringing more awareness to the foster care system or kids looking for their forever homes? This article will direct you to many ways you can advocate this month!

How can you help increase foster care awareness?

May is a month that brings national attention to foster care. Children in the foster care system didn’t ask to be in foster care or for the circumstances that landed them there. They may have faced loss, trauma, illness, neglect, abuse, and more. Some of these children are successfully reunited with their families, some go on to be adopted into forever families, and some remain in foster care until they age out. No matter what the situation is, the need for foster care awareness is important. In the month of May we dedicate ourselves to speaking up and reaching out to others about foster care. What can you do to spread the word?
