12,500 Foster Children Adopted In 20 Years

In the last 20 years, there have been 12,500 foster children adopted within the state of Minnesota.

“With more children in our system in 2016, families adopted more foster children–868–than any other year over the last two decades,” states Emily Piper.

Foster care is much needed as children all over the world require a permanent home. “Right now, 766 foster children are waiting for families to adopt them” within the state of Minnesota. The Department of the State of Minnesota encourages those who are considering adoption from foster care to seriously consider doing so.

Caroline is currently working for Elevati/Adoption.com as an intern--she loves it! She is a poor college student who is studying English and hopes to go on to wear the master's cap someday. You can find Caroline gallivanting around the European countryside or hoofing it in the mountains. Chocolate in any form instantly wins her friendship, and she is not afraid to geek out over the Lord of the Rings or Star Wars films.
