Watch This Visually Impaired Orphan Meet Her Parents For The First Time

This sweet little girl named Grace is visually impaired. As China phases out its one-child policy, an increasing amount of children in orphanages – 98% – have some sort of disability. These children are generally abandoned because their parents cannot afford to provide them with the medical care they need. Many children who “age out” of the orphanage system in China are faced with very bleak futures, particularly if they have special needs.

The joy apparent in this meeting between two parents and their beloved child speaks volumes about the blessings of adoption. Even the best of orphanages cannot compare to the love and stability provided by two parents – and the opportunities afforded by having someone to support you throughout your life.

There are thousands of children in China who are hoping to be adopted into loving homes.
