Born Into Drug Addicted Family, Baby Now Thrives With Foster Family

Baby Coleman was taken from his drug addicted family at two months old on account of addiction and resulting neglect. He was placed with his aunt and uncle and their three children. The Hamilton’s had about a week to prepare for his arrival.

Although the road was long and hard, Baby Coleman began to thrive with his new family. He was diagnosed with pyloric stenosis and had to have surgery as a result. But if you look at the above picture, you would hardly know this baby had been exposed to harmful drugs and once weighed below his birth weight.

It’s a sad reality that many children must be removed from their homes because of addiction. But it is a somewhat of a relief that those children can thrive , feel love, and be safe in a new home. This family has made the most of a hard situation.

The family finalized their adoption recently and made Baby Coleman an official member of the family. With parents, two sisters, a brother, and many out in the community watching out for him, Baby Coleman is surrounded by love and support.
