Birth Mother And Son Reunite After 51 Years

Anne Burroughs has lived a full, happy life. She raised two sons and has worked as a nurse and nursing professor. But there has been a hole in her heart since she was 16 years old and placed her son for adoption. Over the years, she has prayed for him, wondering what had become of the baby she was never allowed to see or touch.

Kenny Franklin was adopted by a loving family and grew up in a happy, stable home. He never felt hurt or abandoned by his birth mother – but he was curious about who she was and what she was like. Not wanting to hurt his mother’s feelings, he waited until after she passed away before beginning a search for his birth parents.

After years of pursuing dead-ends, Franklin had pretty much given up on finding his birth mother. He recalls that he finally just said, “God, you’re going to have to have a miracle here.”

And a miracle did happen.
