Kent Markus

Since August of 1998, Kent Markus has been a Visiting Professor of Law at Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. He also serves as Director of the Dave Thomas Center for Adoption Law, hte only institution in the country exclusively dedicated to Adoption Law reform. Earlier this year, President Clinton nominated Prof. Markus to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and he is currently awaiting confirmation by the United States Senate.

Prior to joining the Capital faculty, Prof. Markus held a range of senior positions at the US Department of Justice which culminated in his service as Deputy Chief of Staff and Counsellor to the Attorney General.
