No one gets married expecting to get divorced. Nobody adopts expecting to get divorced. But, as we all know, sometimes the unexpected happens – and we have to figure out a way to make the best of it.

Adoptive mom Nancy J. Evans Hall found herself in the position of being an adoptive mother – and looking down the barrel of a divorce. It was a challenging time, but she says there were a few principles that she discovered along the way to help smooth things out for her daughter, herself, and her ex-husband.
