Meet Heather: Hoping To Be Adopted

Heather is foster child that’s got a knack for the clarinet. And she’s ready for her family to come and adopt her already.

Heather’s been though a lot, including watching her younger siblings get adopted. She says she feels like people only want young children to adopt.

She loves music because it feels like she can be in control of something in her life. It’s unfortunate that foster child get to be in such little control of their lives. Heather goes as far to say that she wishes her parents had known how to raise a child, but they just weren’t ready.

Adopting older children might seem a little intimidating, and these children can come with a lot of history, but every child deserves a family. You might find that the child that was missing from your family has been waiting for you.
